Day 60 - Framing (Mostly) Complete plus Roofing and Plumbing

Last week, our family got the chance to go away on vacation in Destin, Florida while they mostly completed the framing of the house (they still need to frame the corner tub in our bathroom and maybe the fireplace). They also got most of the roof shingled and the plumber started installing all of the drain piping in the house. After a long overnight drive from Destin to Cincinnati, and a nice nap, we went over the house to take a bunch of pics (as you can see below). This was an especially exciting time because this was the first time that the kids got to see their rooms since the stairs were also installed while we were gone. The kids were so excited to see their rooms and their bathrooms. Alli already is planning her room color and layout (hot pink walls and a hot pink rug). Enjoy the pics!

Day 51 - Framing Day #11

And here are the pictures from what they did today. Not a whole lot of changes. They did deliver the stairs but they didn't get to put them in today. The kids were disappointed since they haven't had a chance to see their bedrooms yet. I guess that will all have to wait until we get back from vacation. There won't be any posts until after we get back from vacation next Sunday. I hope we don't miss too much action!

More arches.

Stairs ready to be installed.

View showing how the roof runs into the upstairs foyer window...not sure we like they way it looks.

Day 50 - Framing Day #10

Trying to get these pictures up before we leave on vacation. It has been busy trying to get ready for vacation and get things in order at work before we leave, so time has been limited. We had the electrical walk-through on Wednesday and were able to see the upstairs for the first time. Here are the pictures.
