Day 125 - Trim Day 1 and More Lights

We are now in the stages of trim work and cabinetry. While we were hoping to come to the house to see some cabinets installed, we did get to see a decent amount of trim installed and some more lights hung. Here are the pictures.

Day 118 - Hardwood Finished and Some Lights Installed

Well, we went to the house tonight and were hoping that the cabinets would be started today, but alas, no cabinets installed. As you can see in the pictures though, there were several lights installed and functional. Here are the pics...

Day 116 - Finished Brick and Mechanicals; Day 119 - Hardwood and Lighting

I was able to swing by the house today and see how far they got done with hardwood. They just started today and already have it about halfway done. Some lights have been hung and our garage is full of cabinets for the house. There is definitely a lot going on this week. Enjoy the pictures!

Day 114 - Finished Tile and More Brick

We were able to make it into the house tonight and got to see the finished tile with grout. More brick was done on the front and they should be done by the end of the week. We will see...

Day 113 - More Brick and Electric

Tried to go see the house today only to find that we didn't know the correct garage door code, so we were only able to see the outside progress made. The brick is getting close to being done and we should have electric in our house very soon. Here are the few pictures that we were able to take tonight:

Day 109 - Shower and Tub Tile

The tile guys were working today and got most of the shower tiled in the master bathroom as well as walkout basement area and the half bathroom in the basement. I only have pictures of the master bathroom. Here they are:

Day 107: More brick, tiling, priming walls, garage doors, ac.......

Hey everyone :)  Jamie's been gone all week (I hate these weeks!) so I decided to surprise him and update the blog.  I'm sure I won't do it the exact way he wants, but that's what happens when I'm in charge!  Maybe I could get used to this.

The kids and I went over to the house tonight - per Sami's request.  Yes, the kids are actually requesting to go to the house now.  You can tell they are getting excited about living there.  I love that!  (Or maybe it's just that they want to climb dirt piles, but I like to think they just get excited about the house)  It really is getting exciting.  The brick is moving right along - they are already to the front of the house.  Today, the tile guy starting laying tile.  They aren't grouted together yet (I'm sure that's not the correct terminology), but they look awesome.  Plus, the fireplace came today.  That was a surprise to me - thought it would be Monday.  And, the walls are all primed.  It actually looks like the inside of a house (well except that there aren't lights, switches, outlets, rails.... but other than that it does!).  Oh yeah, and the garage doors are in!  I amazed the kids with my supermom powers to open them (without garage door openers - plus the keypads aren't in yet).  Here are some pictures from our adventures today:
